Leviton, a leading manufacturer lighting, data networks and energy management systems, today announced the acquisition of the ArcArrest® line of switch-rated pin & sleeve devices from Molex. This strategic addition strengthens Leviton’s position as a market leader in industrial connectivity and safety, while expanding the company’s existing portfolio of pin & sleeve solutions.
Designed for demanding industrial environments like food and beverage processing, power generation, mining, oil & gas and wastewater treatment plants, the ArcArrest line includes plugs, connectors, receptacles and inlets that provide safe, reliable means of disconnecting under load, helping improve safety and reduce downtime.

Key features of ArcArrest solutions include:
- UL1682 and UL2682 certified for both branch and motor circuit disconnects
- Can be used to make and break electrical connections as a “line-of-sight” disconnect switch
- No exposure to live components or arc flash, even when under load
- Integrated lockout/tagout provisions in both plug and receptacle for fast OSHA compliance
- No need for separate wall-mounted disconnects, enabling greater flexibility and portability
- Type 4X and IP69K rated for protection against dust, water and high-pressure washdowns
The ArcArrest line will be available through Leviton’s distribution partners by the end of the year.
