Appleton TMC2X Glands Form Mechanical Watertight Connection with Ground Continuity for Jacketed MC Cable

Appleton TMC2X cable glands represent a safer, faster and more cost-efficient way to connect jacketed metal clad (MC) electrical cables in hazardous industrial locations. Each TMC2X gland comes with RapidEx liquid resin sealing compound, which is simple to apply and sets in a matter of minutes, displacing air while creating a reliable seal with no gaps or voids.

Because of its straightforward two-piece construction and lack of disassembly requirements, the Appleton TMC2X enables a contractor to ground the armor and seal the outer jacket all in one action. In wet, corrosive environments, the integral “O” ring face seal provides IP68 and NEMA 4X rated protection, while a removable cable armor end-stop accommodates larger insulated conductors.

Versatile for use on both horizontal and vertical runs, the glands securely terminate interlocked /corrugated aluminum or steel armor jacketed metal clad cables (Type MC/MC-HL), and continuous welded armor cables (Type CLX or TECK).

Appleton TMC2X cable glands are available in trade sizes from 1/2-inch to 4-inches with multiple cable O.D. ranges per hub size in either copper-free aluminum, nickel plated brass or stainless steel construction. They are rated for NEC/CEC hazardous locations, Class 1, Div. 1 and 2; Class II, Div 1 and 2; and Class III, Div. 1 and 2.
