Appleton Unicode™ 2 Control Stations from Emerson are rated for hazardous industrial environments. With a versatile design and corrosion-resistant enclosure, the stations provide circuit and remote motor control in utilities, chemical and petrochemical plants, reverse osmosis facilities, wastewater treatment centers, and washdown areas in food, pharmaceutical, and beverage plants.
To satisfy the most complex control requirements, the stations are highly customizable. Engineers can specify an enclosure and cover in fiberglass-reinforced polyester, 316L stainless steel, aluminum, or polyamide. Also, there is a wide selection of push buttons, illuminated push buttons, selector switches, control and load break switches, along with LED high-intensity pilot lights for visual assurance that an electrical function is being performed. Up to three contact blocks per actuator can be installed in each station.
A global solution, Appleton Unicode 2 control stations meet NEC Class 1, Div 2, and NEMA 4X; CEC Class 1, Div 2; and ATEX and IECEx Zone 1 and 2-21 and 22 hazardous location requirements. Enclosures are IP66 rated, the highest level of waterproof protection, and IK10 rated against heavy impact.
