Eaton’s Wiring Devices continues to expand its family of slim protection devices to include Dual Function Arc Fault/Ground Fault Circuit (AF/GF) receptacles.
In compliance with the latest UL and National Electrical Code® (NEC) safety standards, the Slim AF/GF receptacles combine both Arc Fault — protection against electrical fire — and Ground Fault — protection against electrical shock — into one convenient device.
The next generation Slim AF/GF receptacles have been redesigned to now feature:
- A thin 1.03-inch depth that provides more room in the electrical box for quick and easy wiring
- Wider TEST/RESET buttons making it easier to test and reset the device
- An intuitive large reset indicator light for easy identification of a trip incident
- An end-of-life indicator light allowing for easy identification of a device failure
The NEC mandates AF/GF protection in dwelling unit areas including kitchens, bedrooms, hallways, laundry rooms and basements.
