DMF Lighting, a leading architectural lighting manufacturer of premium modular LED downlighting systems, has introduced its new 8” to 4” Retrofit Conversion Kit, making it easy to upgrade outdated recessed lighting without disturbing existing ceilings and reusing existing wiring. Designed to retrofit standard 6-inch through 8-inch round housings to modern 4-inch architectural downlights, the new kit expands upon DMF’s previous 6-inch conversion kits offering by accommodating larger housings and supporting high-lumen adjustable LED modules.
Engineered for renovation and modernization projects, the conversion kit is available for both insulated ceiling (IC) and non-IC applications and is compatible with industry-standard recessed housings with a minimum volume of 50 cubic inches. The kit pairs seamlessly with DMF’s M Series modular light engine modules and trim families and the H Series 4-inch flanged modules and trims, allowing existing installations to be transformed into sleek 4-inch flanged or flangeless architectural downlights while preserving finished ceilings. An installation collar provides a secure, flush fit.
