Focal Point announces the launch of Seem® 4 Behavioral Health, an expansion of its proven Seem 4 linear family with two luminaires intended for behavioral health environments: Seem 4 Behavioral Health Recessed and Seem 4 Behavioral Health Perimeter. As awareness of mental health grows and care takes a more holistic, recovery-focused approach, facilities are moving away from institutional-looking interiors in favor of warm, welcoming, calming environments that support patient well-being. Seem 4 Behavioral Health answers that shift with lighting that delivers a sleek architectural appearance without ever compromising safety.
Part of an established architectural line, the new luminaires extend the Seem 4 design language into behavioral health settings — from outpatient treatment clinics to psychiatric inpatient units. Seem 4 Behavioral Health Recessed offers trim flange and mud-in mounting for drywall and hard ceilings, while Seem 4 Behavioral Health Perimeter lights spaces and corridors from the wall or defines the perimeter of the room. Both are available in individual units from 2 to 8 feet and continuous runs in 1-foot increments.

A choice of optics tailors light to each space: Lambertian, Asymmetric, Asymmetric Room Fill, and Batwing distributions for the recessed luminaire, and Lambertian, Grazer, and Asymmetric Room Fill for the perimeter luminaire — illuminating rooms and corridors with superior efficacy and a comfortable glow. In addition to static white color temperatures from 2700K to 4000K, a Tunable White option closely follows the black body curve of a natural light source to provide a light quality that evolves throughout the day, supporting human activity, well-being, and preferences. Seem 4 Behavioral Health is compatible with various dimming protocols and control systems, including Power over Ethernet based systems. And because the luminaires are companions to the broad Seem 4 family, designers can carry one cohesive aesthetic across an entire facility.
