SolaHD™, a brand of Emerson, announces the availability of the S4K Series of Uninterruptible Power Supplies purpose-built for industrial environments where power failure is not an option. The S4K4U-D (6 kVA), S4K6U-D (10 kVA), and S4K5U-5D (international) models deliver true on-line double-conversion protection with an output power factor of 1.0 ensuring that every watt of rated capacity is available to the critical load.
Voltage sags, transients, harmonic distortion, and blackouts don’t negotiate — and neither does the S4K Series. Its true double-conversion topology continuously regenerates clean, regulated output power from DC, isolating connected equipment from every power anomaly on the utility feed. The result is a power-perfect sine wave, delivered with an input power factor greater than 0.99, reducing reactive current draw and minimizing wiring and generator sizing requirements. A wide input voltage window keeps the UPS on utility power through deep sags and swells, extending battery service life and maximizing system availability when backup is genuinely needed.
Designed for the Rack, Ready for the Floor
The SolaHD S4K Series ships in slim 4U (7.0”), 5U (8.75”), and 6U (10.5”) enclosures that are configurable as rack-mount or tower without tools or service calls. An integrated maintenance bypass switch enables safe UPS servicing with zero downtime to connected loads. User-replaceable, hot-swappable internal battery modules eliminate the need for a service technician, while proactive battery health monitoring with replacement date prediction ensures the backup is always ready.
For network-integrated deployments, the included RDU101 Network Communications Card provides advanced remote monitoring and control. Integrated dry contacts with selectable definition, automatic internal bypass, optimized thermal management with variable-speed cooling fans, and auto-detecting external battery cabinet support round out a feature set with no compromise.
